Celebrate traditional and contemporary Japanese culture at this four-mile race in Central Park, now in its 12th year. The race and accompanying Rising New York Road Runners event are part of Japan Day @ Central Park, which starts immediately after the Japan Run and features a variety of Japanese food, activities, and stage performances over the course of the day.
Event hashtag: #JapanRun—use it in your tweets, Instagrams, and Facebook posts!
Live unofficial results are available during the race at liveresults.nyrr.org and in the NYRR app. Features include leaderboards, map tracking, and an individual runner search that can be shared on Facebook and Twitter. Tell your friends and family to follow your progress, and because the system works great on mobile devices, you can get unofficial results right after the race!
Bring the whole family out with our Rising New York Road Runners at Japan Run. Entry is free for all participants and activities begin at 9:30 a.m.
A portion of your proceeds supports NYRR’s mission to help and inspire people through running, and benefits NYRR’s youth and community programs.
The course is the four-mile Central Park "inner loop."
